We shape nature’s materials into beautiful objects.
The techniques are new, old, traditional and from all over the world.
Each product is unique.
We work with different felting techniques, and you get the opportunity to try out and develop what you learn.
We felt small purses and bags, and larger items such as scarves, slippers and hats.
You will be presented with needle felting and what options that technique has in relation to, for example, decorating a felted bag.
You will learn about wool – what it can do, where it comes from and the story behind it.
You will be challenged to develop ideas and make your own products.
You will learn to weave traditional baskets in willow, the different weaving techniques and to mix willow with other materials.
We work with developing our own aesthetic sense and personal expression and learn to develop our own designs.
We harvest various wicker materials in nature, learn how to dry and store the plants, and how to weave baskets of what was harvested.
We look at how art and design within wickerwork has developed over time, both here in Denmark and in other cultures.
The diversity of the clay is tested. Here, different techniques such as casting, turning and modeling are tested.
The Japanese burning process “Raku” is introduced.
Themes about jewelry and clay, churches, religion and icons can be included as courses.
