TERMS OF TRADE

Long stay

We confirm registration and send bank information for payment.

Once the fee has been paid, you are admitted to the course. Payment deadline is stated on the invoice.

In case of cancellation:

If you cancel a long course earlier than four weeks before the start of the course, we will refund your payment minus the Enrollment fee and Case Order ID (if applicable).
For cancellations later than four weeks before the course, the entire amount is unfortunately lost.

If you are unable to obtain a visa to Denmark, we will return your payment minus the visa application fee.

If you interrupt your high school stay, you must pay a month’s extra tuition fees calculated from the day of cancellation.

Amounts paid to cover study trips and other non-recurring expenses are generally not refundable.

Payment from outside Denmark must be directly from a bank account. International laws against money laundering makes it impossible for the school to refund any money  transferred by alternative transfer system. Failing to make a bank – bank transfer means, that you automatically waives  the right to any refunds.

 

Short courses

We confirm registration and send bank information for payment of registration fee of DKK 500, – per. student.

Once the registration fee has been paid, you are admitted to the course. Payment deadline is stated on the invoice.

The remaining amount is to be paid no later than 6 weeks before the start of the course, .

In case of cancellation:

If you cancel up to 6 weeks before the start of the course, any payments will be refunded minus the registration fee.

If you unsubscribe later than 6 weeks before the start of the course, nothing will be paid back, which is why we recommend that you take out a cancellation insurance. See evt. European travel insurance.

Travel course

There can be a maximum of 20 participants and there must be a minimum of 16 participants for a travel course to be completed.

We confirm registration and send bank information for payment of a deposit of DKK 1,000 – which is returned if the trip is not completed.

Once the registration fee has been paid, you are admitted to the course. Payment deadline is stated on the invoice.

The remaining amount is paid 8 weeks before the start of the course

No later than 6 weeks before the trip, notice is given of the completion of the trip.

In case of cancellation:

If you unsubscribe more than 8 weeks before the course, DKK 700 of the deposit will be returned

If you unsubscribe later than 8 weeks before the start of the course, nothing will be paid back, which is why we recommend that you take out a cancellation insurance. See evt. European travel insurance.

Comments

When visitors post comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and the browser’s user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you use it. The Gravatar Service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approving your comment, your profile picture will be visible to the public along with your comment.

 

Media

If you are uploading images to the site, you should not upload images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Site visitors can download and extract all site data from images on the site.

Cookies

If you write a comment on our website, you can choose to store your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your information again when writing another comment. These cookies will last for a year.

If you visit our login page, we create a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set up a number of cookies and store your login information and your choices of screen display. Who we share your data with

How long we store your data

If you write a comment, then comments and its metadata will be preserved indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of having them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide to their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception that they cannot change their username). The site administrators can also view and edit that information.

 

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have written comments, you can request an exported file with the personal data we have about you, including all data you have given us. You can also request that we delete all personal data we have about you. This does not include any data that we are required to store for administrative, legal or security reasons.

Background and who you can contact – the data controller

The processing of personal data takes place in accordance with the Danish Data Protection Act and the EU Data Protection Regulation.

Brenderup Højskole is data responsible for the information that we register and process about you.

Brenderup Folk High School does not have, and should not have, a data protection adviser.

We find that it is important through effective data protection and good information for the data subjects to contribute to trust in our services and administration. Therefore, we will not only comply with legal and regulatory requirements, but will as a quality element offer a secure processing of personal data for students / course participants, members of school districts and other partners.

If you have questions about how we process your personal data, or if you wish to exercise your rights under the law on access to the registered personal data, the right to rectify, deletion of erroneous personal data, deletion of personal data or the right to restrict the processing of personal information, you must contact the data controller:

Below you can read a little more about the personal information we collect, for what purposes we use it, how we process the information and about your rights.

 

  1. Registration and processing of information, purpose, legal basis and consent.

We only register and process personal information about you and possibly your relatives who are needed.

Student / student and member data, which Brenderup Højskole is in possession of, is stored and processed for teaching and administrative reasons, in order to be able to provide the service that is related to residence, teaching and membership at the school.

The personal information falls into categories according to both art. 6, 9 and 87 of the Data Protection Regulation. As regards the information according to Art. 6, the legal basis for these must be found in para. 1 a (consent) and para. The legal basis for the processing of personal data covered by Article 9 is found in subsection (1). 2 a (consent). Processing of information on CPR numbers, Article 87, is processed on the basis of consent, or where there is a legal requirement that the CPR number must be used or this is a natural and crucial part of the operation of the school.

 

Consent and withdrawal of consent.

In addition to the mentioned legal basis for the processing, we have chosen to use your consent as a basis for the processing of your personal data.

By giving your consent, you have been made aware that you can withdraw your consent at any time.

However, you should be aware that the withdrawn consent does not affect the legality of the treatment based on consent before the withdrawal. It may also be a condition for your stay at Brenderup Højskole that we have your consent to the processing of personal data that is necessary for the administration of your folk high school stay in relation to official authorities.

 

The categories of personal information that Brenderup Højskole processes

We register general personal information covered by Article 6 of the Data Protection Regulation about you as: CPR number, name, address, information about relatives, email address, etc.

We register sensitive personal data covered by Article 9 (1) of the Data Protection Regulation. 1 about you, especially with regard to health information.

In contrast, we do not usually record information about race, ethnic origin, political, religious or philosophical beliefs, genetic data, biometric data, sexual relationships or sexual orientation. However, we may record such personal information if it is necessary for your stay at the school and you will then be separately informed that we process such personal information.

 

Disclosure of information

Brenderup Højskole does not pass on your personal information to others unless you have given consent, or if we are obliged according to Danish law to pass on the personal information.

 

Insight into own information

Pursuant to Article 15 of the Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to insight into the personal data about you that we register and process. However, you must be aware that the right of access only includes information about yourself and not about other students and teachers at Brenderup Højskole.

If you wish to exercise the right of access, you must contact our contact person for personal information. You can see the contact information above.

You can usually expect to receive the information within a reasonable time and no later than within a month and the information is usually provided free of charge.

If the request for access occurs repeatedly, or is unfounded, you may be charged a fee that covers the administrative costs, or we may refuse to comply with your request.

 

  1. Your other rights: the right to rectification, erasure and limitation

Pursuant to Articles 16 – 18 and 19 of the Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to demand correction of incorrect information about you, deletion of information (the right to be forgotten) or the right to restrict the processing of information, among other things. while being examined.

For the sake of good order, we inform you that we do not use automatic individual decisions, including profiling.

 

  1. Deletion of Personal Information

Brenderup Højskole only stores information about you for as long as it is necessary.

The information about you is thus preserved throughout your stay.

When you no longer have a stay at Brenderup Højskole, we store your information in accordance with the rules of the Limitation Act, ie. for 5 years after you have left Brenderup Højskole, unless there is a specific reason to keep the information longer. For example, if a claim has been made against Brenderup Højskole, where the information may be relevant to the case.

Brenderup Højskole stores information about your name, CPR number, team and line subject forever, as the folk high school has an obligation to do so in order to be able to issue a folk high school certificate to a student who has been on a stay of at least four weeks duration.

In connection with the application for admission to Brenderup Højskole, we receive personal information. If you are still not admitted to us, all personal information we have received will be deleted after 6 months at the latest.

 

  1. Data security

Brenderup Højskole complies with the provisions of Article 32 of the Data Protection Ordinance that the institution must implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security that suits the conditions.

 

Complaints guide

If you wish to complain about Brenderup Højskole’s processing of your personal information, you can send a complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Borgergade 28, 5., 1300 Copenhagen K.

You can get help from the Danish Data Protection Agency if you have questions about registration and other processing of personal data. You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency if you believe that a processing of information about you does not meet the requirements of the law. If you want to complain, you can contact the Danish Data Protection Agency and explain what you are dissatisfied with. It costs nothing to complain.
